Nazanin Noori, Callie’s Sound Studio, 2024. Photographer: Will Jivcoff

Join us for an artist talk with Nazanin Noori as she discusses THE ECHO OF PROTEST IS DISTANT TO THE PROTEST, her first UK exhibition at Auto Italia. Noori’s newly commissioned works explore the emotional (im)mobilisation of the public in the context of political protest, reflecting on the uprisings following the death of Jina Amini in Iran.

Through sculptural and sound installations, Noori envisions a post-revolutionary landscape where failing despots mourn their own downfall, shifting the focus from victims to oppressors. This conversation will delve into her artistic process, the role of sound and space in shaping narratives and the complexities of witnessing political events from afar.

The event is free. Please register your participation by following the booking link at the top of this page.

THE ECHO OF PROTEST IS DISTANT TO THE PROTEST was conceived and produced by Auto Italia in collaboration with CCA Berlin.
