Auto Italia is seeking to recruit an experienced fundraiser for the newly established Development Manager role. The Development Manager will support the Director to raise financial support for the gallery’s multi-disciplinary programme of artistic and engagement work, ensuring that we secure the resources needed to deliver our mission and vision.
The Development Manager will support the Director to maintain and develop a high achieving fundraising strategy, ensuring that we achieve our ambitious fundraising goals. This includes responsibility for generating excellent well-written funding applications and reports for trusts and foundations, international arts councils, embassies, local authorities and lottery grants. The Development Manager will also support the Director to develop and grow the gallery’s young and highly successful donor programme.
The Development Manager will join the gallery at a pivotal moment in our history as we seek to make transformative next steps. Over the past fifteen years Auto Italia has developed a sector leadership role championing experimental approaches to artist-led institution building, and provided vital infrastructure for artists and audiences to co-produce work investigating expanded ideas of collaboration, community, identity and belonging.
We are seeking to build on this history through a new ten year strategy which focuses on advancing our developing institutional voice through an evolving national and international partnership plan. The Development Manager will support the Director to deliver this strategy. It is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to have real impact on the gallery and its work and achieve a career step change within a highly ambitious young arts organisation committed to radical practices.
