This week Auto Italia will be taking part in a number of events in Germany, as well as Kate Cooper launching a new solo presentation at abc Berlin.
On Wednesday September 15th, Auto Italia will be in conversation with Fanny Gonella as part of Inside the City, a group exhibition currently on show at Kunstlerhaus Bremen and featuring Auto Italia’s Meet Z alongside work from James Bridle, Petra Cortright, Cécile B. Evans, Agatha Gothe-Snape, David Horvitz, Daniel Neubacher and Yuri Pattison.
Thursday 16th sees the opening of abc Berlin 2015 (running until Sunday September 20th) featuring a new presentation of work by Kate Cooper, showing with Neumeister Bar-Am. Kate will be showing the first in a new series of works, continuing her ongoing interest in the role of gender and autonomy within image production and distribution.
Finally, on Friday 17th September, Auto Italia will be taking part in IMAGE IS A VIRUS // ON ACTIVISM, a roundtable discussion with Paul Feigelfeld, and moderated by Anna Gien at ACUD Studio. In the context of the group show IMAGE IS A VIRUS // ON ACTIVISM of lensbased class of Hito Steyerl, the round-table discussion will focus on the the activist potential of the image in a contemporary discourse of hypercirculation.
